Medicare Planning Made Easier
Signing up for Medicare and choosing the best Medicare plan can be confusing and more difficult than many people expect. There are Medicare Supplement plans, also called Medigap plans, as well as Medicare Advantage plans. Many agents and agencies only represent one or the other, but we believe everyone is unique and should be able to fully compare and understand all of their options. That is why we can help with either type of plan.
There are several steps involved in signing up for Medicare. First, you need to sign up for the government’s ID.me program so you can access your “My Social Security” account. Once signed in, you can enroll in Part B. After that, it may take a couple of weeks to receive your Medicare number, which is needed before signing up for one of the other programs.
Because of this timeline, it is best to start the process one to two months before you need your coverage to begin. We help people through every step of this process at no charge.
Explaining all the details of each program is too much for one website page, so we offer a free copy of our book, “Turning 65 2024 and Beyond.” Contact us by email or phone and we will send a copy to you.
Above all else, we urge you not to do this through a call center. Even if you do not use us, please use a local agent. Local agents know which programs and companies work best in your area, and they are there months later when you have questions or need help.
Do not hesitate — this is a path you want to travel with someone who knows the way. Call today to order your free copy of the book or to set an appointment. We offer in-person appointments at our office or your location, as well as Zoom or telephone meetings, depending on what you are most comfortable with.
