Medicare Planning Made Easier
Signing up for Medicare and choosing the best Medicare plan is both confusing and turns out to be more difficult than a person would imagine.
There are both Medicare Supplemental plans (also called Medigap plans) and Medicare Advantage plans. Many agents and agencies only represent one or the other. We believe on the other hand that everyone is unique and so everyone should be able to fully compare and understand all their options; therefore, we can help with either plan.
It is important to know that there are actually several steps to signing up for Medicare. First you have to sign up for the government’s ID.me program so that you can use that to sign up for your “My Social Security” account. Then once you have signed into that, you can sign up for Part B.
After that you wait for a couple of weeks to get your Medicare number and then you can sign up for one of the other programs. So a person should really start this process one to two months before they actually need the coverage to start. We help people through every one of these steps at no charge.
Explaining all the ins and outs of each of the programs is way too much to put here on a website page, so we offer a free copy of our book: “Turning 65 2024 and Beyond.” Just contact us by email or phone and we will send a copy out to you.
Above all else we urge you not to do this with some call center. Even if you don’t use us, please use a local agent. Local agents know what programs and companies work best in your area and they are there many months later when you have a question or need help.
Don’t hesitate—this is a path you want to travel with someone who knows the way. Call today to order your free copy of the book or to set an appointment to discuss the issue. We do in-person appointments at either our office or at your place, or we can do Zoom or telephone meetings, whatever you are most comfortable with.
